If you’re a Star Trek fan you’ll likely agree, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is the crowning jewel of all the Star Trek products ever produced. It’s also William Shatner’s and Ricardo Montalban’s finest hour on film, or should I say it’s their finest hour on any screen! ” Even the sadly written newer Star Trek movies are trying to recapture the “Khan magic created in this classic’80’s film. So far, they haven’t come anywhere near close. Veteran collectors familiar with the 1982 “Wrath of Khan” movie poster campaign agree that (unlike the movie) the posters lack dynamics and excitement. This unusual 1982 in-house studio poster is a happy exception, as the. Poster delivers some early, and GREAT, computer imagery of the Enterprise. Looking at it reminds me of how important and effective those computer graphics were to the finished film; they really served as an important backdrop. A cooler poster would be hard to find. Even harder yet, would to be finding another original example of this poster, as this is the only original that I’ve ever seen, and that’s in over 40 years of focused collecting on Star Wars and Star Trek, and so I know this poster is a rare one. This is a rare, hard to find Dr Leonard McCoy medical tricorder. It is a 1 to 1 replica of the one used in the 1960’s series. It has wonderful out takes from several of different episodes featuring none other than Actor De Kelly as the iconic Dr himself!! The screen resembles the bio scanner that were located over the beds in sickbay and the two scanning sound effect are taken directly from the original sound effects.
