STAR TREK The Animated Series STAS. Rough STOCK Original Production Animation Drawing. Of the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE. From the Wendell Washer Estate! With a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity! This is an INCREDIBLE drawing! It is of course of the Starship Enterprise. And even better, it is a stock drawing – used over and over again throughout the series. Though with the numbering on it, it may have also been used in the opening – we haven’t checked yet. The page is slightly warm yellow with age. Measures approx 10.5″ x 12.5″. The BEST part is – this cel came directly from the Wendell Washer estate. Wendell, like all career animators, had files of artwork they collected. And this was a show he worked on! He is listed in IMDB as the storyboard director for all the seasons of the show. So he collected this right from the studio as it was being made! Check out the amazing shows Wendell worked on at Walt Disney, Filmation, Warner Brothers and more! It has Original Sericel Authenticated by Paramount Star Trek stamped in the right hand corner. It has a matte framework. It has the Certificate of Authenticity with it. It is a very good picture of the U. S Enterprise, in deep space. This is a limited edition, it is limited to only 7,500 pieces. To produce this Serigraph Cel or Seri-Cel, a hand-cut, master screen is prepared for each individual color. The Serigraph meticulously applies each color separately one screen at a time, and in perfect registration. The result is an original work of art. Tri-armed (and legged) c haracter created for the exclusively for the 1973 animated series is perfect to tackle any technical trouble on the bridge We’ve never seen a production cel of her, this is an amazing find that surfaced from a private collection. Model cels are used for reference by the ink and paint department to determine the proper colors and for continuity during the production process. Un”phased” poised full figure image approx 6.75×5 (17×12 cm) including his name text to the right of his legs. Cel presented on a simple, unrelated starburst color copy background to complement the image. Overall each measures about 10.5×12.5 (26×32 cm).
