Anovos brand TOS Capt Kirk Tunic and a pair of unbranded matching uniform trousers in great condition – like new! Anovos were a licensed partner with CBS. They were famous for their very high quality in the cosplay community, and screen accurate construction. Sadly they are no longer in business, and so new examples of their garments no longer exist. They produced “Deluxe” versions and “Standard” versions. This tunic is the “Standard” version. The tunic is the Anovos size “Medium” to fit an approx 40 inch chest. It is made from 100% nylon and is more accurate to the season 3 version from the show than the season 1 & 2 suede versions. It has the correct “Command” delta sewn to the left breast, and the detailed braiding on the sleeve cuffs denote the rank of captain. As did the ones used in production in the 1960’s, they open by way of a concealed zipper that runs in the seam on the left shoulder. For aesthetic purposes, the standard large teardrop zipper handle fitted by Anovos, has been carefully clipped off. It was found to be very distracting and drew the eye to itself, unlike the ones in the show which were better concealed. No functionality to the zip has been lost though, and it still works perfectly well. When done up, the collar is additionally fastened by way of two eye and hook clasps. It measures approx 26 3/4 inches from the collar to the hem as seen in the photos. The tunic also comes in the original, Anovos branded carry bag. The trousers are sized for approx 34 inch waist. They fasten by way of a concealed YKK zipper and two clasps, as seen in the photos. They are designed to be 3/4 length cropped trousers and they flare out out the end as seen, by way of some stiffening material inside. There is a slit in the flares to offer a better fit and shape. There is no label inside the trousers so you’ll have to use your best judgement on washing and ironing etc. They measure from top to the end of the trouser leg approx 31.5 inches. They are very comfortable to wear.
