Rare Vintage 1974 Mego Star Trek Mr. Spock 8 Figure Hong Kong TOS Leonard Nimoy from Japan. Mego Corporation launched the 8 action figure line in the early 1970s, targeting TV and comic franchises. Star Trek was chosen due to its growing fanbase following its original run and syndication popularity. Spock was among the first wave of figures, representing Leonard Nimoy’s iconic role in the franchise. Figures were produced in Hong Kong for cost efficiency and mass distribution. The articulation and cloth uniforms were innovative at the time, influencing future action figure design. The 1974 Mego Mr. Spock figure is part of the earliest Star Trek merchandise ever officially licensed. Original figures with intact clothing and no damage are increasingly difficult to find.
