Star Trek Commemorative Checker Set. The Star Trek Commemorative Checker Set was produced by The Franklin Mint for Star Trek’s. 25th Anniversary in 1991, although this set came out in 1993. This was a standard set of checkers produced in pewter and plated in either 24-karat gold or sterling silver. The gold checkers depict the USS Enterprise on one side and Enterprise Command Insignia on the other. The silver checkers depict the Klingon D7-class battle cruiser on one side and the Klingon “Trefoil” Insignia on the other. MISSING (1) Silver Checker Piece.
