V M (Vicky) Wyman Orginal Painting – “Defiance” – Fantasy Comicbook Artist – 18×24. Star Trek Leonard McCoy on Vulcan. Painted when she was 26 at that point was I still doing fan fiction for a number of media-based fanzines remember those? Now there are fan fiction websites. Principally Star Wars and Star Trek stuff. I was working on a series of stories where Spock and McCoy were somehow teleported back into Vulcan Past. That’s why the sky is red and the mouth of the mount is green. That mount is a Kitja… A warhorse thing bred for fighting and combat and he actually has a name… Mallanky Tolchock Bitva (Clockwork Orangese for little fist fight). The guy on his back is McCoy. I can’t remember who he’s riding down, but I think the painting is non-illo-specific. That is, it conveys the feeling without being a specific picture of something within the story. Spock rode around on a much larger, more passive mount whose name was Echia, but I can’t remember the breed. Also known as a Furry artist.
