Let’s face it – the set is just a retread of Remco’s Hamilton Invaders. Has NOTHING to do with Star Trek. But the box is awesome! So skip the toy – and get this 100% original box! It does have typical Remco box staining on back – but looks great none-the-less. One of the few items made DURING the original show’s run! We strive to provide an accurate description of all items. 1967 Remco Star Trek Astrotank. Loose With 4 Original Red Figures. You probably know how rare this is. Here is the rundown. I did give it a once over, very gentle, cleaning as it was a bit dusty. You may want to get a little more detailed than I did, thats up to you if you make this yours. No cracks chips or breaks that I can detect. A few light surface scratches/marks from years of storage. 3 of the 4 missiles are included. The cannon fires well. 4 red Army guys are present and nice. They show a little foxing, but still nice. The front wheels and driver side tracks like to fall off when it gets picked up sometimes. I believe its friction that holds them in place, so something may be a fraction off in production or this is typical as its Remco, ya know what I mean? The back axle is metal and the wheels just go on and there is nothing to hold them on except the tracks. Once again, by design as its Remco? To the best of my knowledge, this is the best way to describe to you the overall condition of this hard to find early Star Trek collectible.
