STAR TREK COMIC STRIP PANEL. Spock on a hike. Signed by artist R (Richard) Tomasic. One of a Kind work of art. Richard Tomasic has artwork featured in early editions of the Lucas Film Fan Club magazine, as well as Star Trek publications, Dragon magazine, and did the art for many trading cards and game cards. I dont know what publication it was printed in. It is on fairly thick paper stock that does have some wear on the edges as shown. I acquired it from an estate sale of the man who founded the original Star Wars fan club back in the 1970’s. Check my other auctions for more of Tomasic’s work.

This listing is for Star Trek Diamond Select USS Enterprise 1701 first HD version with the phaser strip on the front of the saucer section. I removed the batteries and stored it in the box. The box has some wear from storage, there are a few small creases. The lights and sounds work. The bottom of the hull is turning yellow for some reason. It has been sitting in the box not exposed to sunlight. What you see is what you get, the pictures are of the actual item. Items come from a pet and smoke free home.

THE ITEM: Art by BOB MYERS. Apparently he did the art for 3 or 4 months out of the 3 or 4 year life span of the strip… Not absolutely sure these were published, especially since several panels seem incomplete, and there is no syndicate information pasted onto them… (I have several more of these listed WITH syndicate information attached)… One panel at the bottom of one page here is badly smudged. These are on vellum unfortunately, but when you place white paper under them the FANTASTIC art does pop out….. Sarcasm aside, they ARE still at least a bit of (fairly early) Star Trek history…. Apparently the Star Trek comic strips were reprinted in book form a few years back. If anyone has the information, I would like to know myself if these were published..
