Prototype Star Trek Ensign Pavel Checkov Federation Edition Collector Series Toy Figure Final Engineering Pilot FEP SAMPLE #0 Playmates Toys Boxed MISB 1997 9. This is a Final Engineering Pilot FEP Factory Sample. This item was part of the Pre-Production process and is from a factory clearance. As you can see in the second picture it is numbered #0 it was used internally at the factory. There may also be differences to the figure and accessories from normal released production figures. This is quite common with FEP samples and the finishing of the figures on these sample is of a higher quality and crisper finish and look. Any wear to the box packaging is minimal. This lot includes 7 Mego Star Trek the original series action figures. It includes Kirk, the newest version with the best Shatner resemblance. Spock is the trouble with tribbles version that includes tribbles and black accessories. Scotty is a newer sculpt and has blue accessories. Lt Uhura is the Target exclusive version which is the only modern Mego version of Uhura available, Sulu and Chekov are UK exclusives with screen printed insignias and better constructed shirts. McCoy is a very rare version of. The first modern Mego version of McCoy had pale white skin. This version is a painted version of McCoy which is very rare. Only a short run of painted McCoys were made before they were molded with proper color. So this set is fairly rare.
