Was a board game. Major game licensed for sale, and the only one produced during the run of the. Star Trek: The Original Series. The box states AS SEEN ON NBC TV. I was one of the lucky ones you got to watch the Original Series when it first came out! It was incredible to say the least! I was in the fourth grade in school and Monday nights at 8pm were magical back then. The condition: the games is complete and the box top is rough with one split corner that looks like it has been repaired. Lots of edge wear and wear through along the seams but overall still makes a nice display item! The box bottom, game board and contents are very good condition. 4 plastic “spaceship tokens”. 40 “Fuel Unit” cards (4 each numbered 1-10). 4 “Mission Destinations” cards. The object of the game is to move your “Spaceship” Token from Earth (at the center of the board) to the three assigned planets on your Mission Destination Card and back to Earth before your opponents can do the same. You discard a Fuel Card (one each numbered from 1 to 10) to move as many spaces horizontally or vertically (never diagonally, and in only one direction per move) as the number on the card i. The “5” card lets you move five spaces. Running out of Fuel Cards means only being able to move one space at a time. You “land” on or “leave” a planet (including Earth at the start and end of the game) by entering its Orbit Path (series of dots leading to the planet) via the Orbit Entrance Square (the dot on the path matching the color of the planet), moving to the end of the Path and onto the planet. Landing also allows you to draw three Fuel Cards from the discards. Leaving a planet requires movement back onto the Orbit Path and out via the Orbit Entrance Square. Movement from the Square (including remaining spaces from use of a Fuel Card) are taken in any one horizontal or vertical direction from the Square.

Was a toy company founded in 1954 by D. Originally known as a purveyor of dime store. In 1971 the company shifted direction and became famous for producing licensed action figures. MEGO created there first figures in boxes but the S. Kresge store (later Kmart Stores) did not have the shelving dimensions which to display the toys and requested something be designed for there peg board display. TALOS, one of the last four figures released in the Star Trek series “so the 2nd issued Alien” (along with “THE ROMULAN” “ANDORIAN” & “MUGATO”) CHECK OUT THE SALE OF MY OTHER STAR TREK ALIENS TO INCLUDE SOME OF THESE AND MORE. Produced for one year only, 1976, extremely rare for this reason and also, so the story goes, a warehouse fire that destroyed the stock. TALOS appeared in the episode “The Cage”. Mego forewent the robe Talos wore in the episode in favour of a fantastic Canary yellow jump suit with red boot’s (you wouldn’t want to see this guy down a dark alley). The figure, which is close to shop stock condition, comes on the “14 back card” the only way this figure was released with a artists rendition of the 5 Star fleet & 9 Star Trek Alien figures, note all the characters have there name printed under them. The illustrated front of the card you will notice (again correct for this last issue) instead of having the pictures of the characters to the front has the fantastic alien landscape with the two satellite planets to the back, unobstructed with pictures to the front leaves this last issued set as the very best for display purposes, with just the figure in bubble and fantastic moon scape image, unique to this issue and in my opinion, although not quite at rare as the PALITOY carded figures a better display piece with the Palitoy card having all the pictures of the other characters to the front. The original figure in factory sealed original bubble is stunning, non of the usual damage associated with this figure. The leatherette material can be found cracked and mottled having lost most of its pliability, in the case of this guy it’s mint, the black/gold trim to the collar and to the bottom of the suit leg usually has thread that is unravelling due to poor sewing, the seamstress who suited and booted him was a old hand at MEGO with the jump suit being well made even for a sealed up Talos. He’s also been kept out of sun light and UV ray’s with the colours of all the materials nice and bright, looking at his limbs they all look in tacked, all in all a stunning, extremely good looking Talos. The 14 back card is very very good, a un-punched card with non of the usual surface creases in the cardboard, the card is very crisp and bright front and back the bubble has a small dimple in it on the corners edge, a manufacturing defect, with a 3 millimeter area of lift where the glue has not taken to the bottom where the bubble profile, looks like a upturned U, arc’s round under his feet, to the front surface of the bubble there is the smallest of surface rub’s on close inspection. An extremely rare item possible only a few out there in this close to shop stock condition. Produced for one year only, 1976, extremely rare for this reason and also, so the story goes, a warehouse fire that destroyed the stock. “ANDORIAN” the most accurate MEGO based on the lone classic appearance of a “ANDORIAN” in the episode “Journey to Babel”. The set of antennae adorning the head of “ANDORIAN” necessitated the use of a deeper/taller bubble for the packaging. The figure which is sealed in bubble on a “14 backcard” the only way this figure was released, with an artists rendition of the 5 Star fleet & 9 Star Trek Alien figures, note all the characters have their name printed under them. The outfit is accessorised with a pair of brown gloves and a wide black plastic belt with a diamond moulded into the centre and shod in brown boots, this figure doesn’t come with many of the issues that plagued the other figures the only slight problem with this guy is the smallest amount of staining from the black belt but this “ANDORIAN” as been kept well out of UV LIGHTING resulting in a bright fresh as the day he was born colour. This guy fits perfectly in the bubble with a foot in both left and right-hand recess. A fantastic figure in every detail. The bubble is mint with just the very tinniest of bubble lift at the bottom were the bubble swerves around Andorian’s feet, only noticeable because I’m looking over the item with close scrutineering, always, always happens at that place on all the Mego’s. There’s a little crease in the plastic bubble edge where the top face folds over to the side face, “obviously produced when the bubble was manufactured” at the top quarter left hand side, but a very mint bubble all in all. The card is unpunched and undamaged, there is slight surface creasing in the middle of the moon scape scene and the top left. To the reverse of the card a small surface crease running from the unpunched hole to the outer edge. Extremely bright in colour with a good solid feel to the overall quality of the card. A fantastic display piece extremely rare and with more and more people coming into the STAR TREK genre and only very limited supply these things are only getting more collectable.
