A very rare opportunity to own a piece of Star Trek TOS, used in episode S02-E23 “The Omega Glory”. This lot was auctioned by PIH March 31,2006, as lot # 314, and was in my collection since this time. Prop is make in 2 parts. Aluminum cylinder (approximate 6″ 1/16, diameter 2″ 1/4). Wood, black painted (6 1/2) that goes to the end of the cylinder. Total length 10 3/4. COA letter from financial representative Henry Wm. Renshaw who worked at Paramount Pictures from 1948 to 1975. (the letter has a small dirty mark on the top, see photo 11). Please look carefully all photos as part of the description, as old screen used prop it show marks and tears. McCoy Medical Devise from the Star Trek episode “The Omega Glory” (NBC-TV 1966-69). This prop can be seen on McCoy’s diagnostic table on Omega IV as he searches for an antidote to the mysterious disease that killed the landing party of the Exeter. It consist of a machined aluminum sleeve into which the “electronics” head fits, which is constructed of black-painted wood with brass dowels on the bottom, red painted surface. Measuring 2 1/2 in. Diameter and 11 in. Tall when fitted together. This piece come direct from the collection of Henry Renshaw, a financial representative at Paramount from 1948-75, and includes a letter of provenance from Renshaw which state that he was given this prop by Russ Brown, an executive in charge of the back lot department at Paramount.
