Read the full description Description COMET SHOWER#1 (2006) 24 X 14 (61 x 35 cm) is an original reverse glass painting by artist, Dave Archer. As well as white stars, this painting contains “Alpha Jewels” called the Mercedes of glitter at 900 dollars a pound. Mostly alpha jewels are used to cover custom cars. In paintings, the “Jewels” appear and disappear, changing colours in a flash of light. Works were also used in two Next Generation movies as well as Lucasfilms, Howard the Duck. Also: Terminator Genysis, and The Matrix, in the final film of the final trilogy. I have enjoyed a full pictorial in Omni Magazine, as well as being featured in National Geographic Magazine, and on many book covers for science fiction authors including Isaac Asimov, Larry Niven and Jack Vance. Dave Archer Bio: Born: San Luis Obispo, California, 1941. Archer graduated high school with a scholarship to study art with nationally known artist and founding member of the California Watercolour School, Phil Paradise. Living and working currently in Roseburg, Oregon, Archer began teaching local man, Brent Durand, in 2009, passing forward his signature technique of electric painting on glass. Together they have performed million volt demonstrations at the Elements Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon and toured together preforming high voltage painting demonstrations.
