This is a complete set of STAR TREK THE ORIGINAL SERIES IN MOTION OVERSIZED “SOUND IN MOTION” chase card set. This SOUND IN MOTION set was produced by Rittenhouse in 1999 as a CHASE CARD SUBSET in their STAR TREK IN MOTION trading card release. When originally released, these cards would actually play sound when activated. THESE CARDS DO NOT PLAY ANY LONGER – AND JUDGING BY THE LOOK OF THE MECHANISM THE BATTERIES ARE ATTACHED TO, I WOULD SAY THAT THEY WILL NEVER PLAY AGAIN. The batteries appear to have corroded the circuits. In some cases they even bleached the inner flap of the card itself. Also the thin cardboard casing is warped and creased in some areas. And even the LENTICULAR finish on the front of the card is defective in nature. It has streaks on it and in some cases even some flaking off of the lenticular material. THESE CARDS NEED SOME T.
