Every tricorder is meticulously wet sanded and finished by hand using a multi-step process to make the surface smooth to the touch. ? Each tricorder and hand scanner is created to give it the weight you expect. This is not a lightweight piece! ? My tricorder uses stainless steel hinges for durability and the best appearance. You can feel confident opening and closing this tricorder without any flex or risk of breaking. I have designed the hinges to be incorporated into the model for durability versus screwed or glued onto the surface. ? Decals are carefully sized precisely for this model and are covered with a high-quality matte vinyl laminate for durability. They are then machine cut and carefully placed by hand for a perfect fit. ? I’ve designed my hand scanner compartment to hold the scanner snugly using a neodymium magnet and a lush velour interior. ? My sensor module is easily removed so you can replace it with the medical module. Each uses its own magnet system, so they stay in place but are easy to swap out. I also have a unique hidden compartment in the holster to hold the sensor module when you have the medical module attached. The bottom portion of the holster can be removed to reveal the sensor module, and it’s held secure by strong magnets. The tricorder includes a note to describe this functionality because it’s so well hidden that you likely would never notice it otherwise! Here are more features of this tricorder. ?
