This is an authentic original lightstick device from Deep Space Nine. Seen in the series finale What You Leave Behind. Made of plastic, measures approximately 8.5 inches high. Shows some wear and minor imperfections. Powered by a small neon light; batteries can be replaced by removing the back panel; requires 4 AA batteries, not included. Note that the button on top of the prop is only decorative: the device is turned on and off by removing the back panel and switching on/off the neon light. I acquired this prop directly from Rick DiGiovanni, who worked as a set decorator on DS9 for all seven seasons of the show. A copy of a letter from him is included.
