The fabric is vinyl. A great focal point for a retro or space age room. These can be used with or without the top cover. The chairs do show wear from the years. Each is missing 3 buttons and they have some small holes in the vinyl as seen in the las photos. The bases have some scratching as well. Please see photos for what you will receive.
